Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) that is caused by bacteria called Chlamydia trachomatis. If men or women have Chlamydia, these bacteria are found in their semen or vaginal fluids.

Chlamydia is increasingly common. That means that you can be at risk even if you haven’t had a lot of sexual partners. And you may have it, even if you have no symptoms at all.

The test for Chlamydia is really easy and treatment is usually very simple. As it can have serious health consequences in the long term, it's worth getting tested, just in case.

Kids and Chlamydia don't mix. Do you want to pee in a pot or have some nasty disease? It doesn't cost you anything, it's confidential too. Your parents don't have to know.
